Boris Buzilă. In memoriam
On September 14, 2020, the writer, publicist and journalist Boris Buzilă passed away, at the age of91. From 1955, he worked for 40 consecutive years in the editorial office of the newspaper “România liberă”, where he took care of the cultural page of this daily publication (1955-1994). Boris Buzilă was also a church writer, his most important contribution in this field being the volume From the history of Bessarabia church life with more than 400 pages, in 1996. Boris Buzilă also left several translations, issued by Anastasia Publishing, from great Russian mystics and writers such as St. Theophanes the Recluse, Sergei Bulgakov, Evgeny Trubetskoi, Nikolai Gogol, Alexander Solzhenitsyn. As a publicist, Boris Buzilă has printed lately several dozen articles, related to the Russian Church and its problems, published in full in the magazine “Tabor”. These articles were written until the last months of his life.
