Archbishop Nicolae Colan of Transylvania (1957-1967) - two important moments during his time in Sibiu: the installation as bishop and his passing into eternity
Metropolitan Nicolae Colan was one of the most outstanding hierarchs of the Orthodox Church in the twentieth century in Transylvania. His election as Metropolitan of Transylvania in 1957, and everything that has been said on this occasion (arguments, evocations, characterization, congratu- lations etc.) greatly reveals the main features of his personality, closely related to facts and actions undertaken up to that point. The picture is completed with an overview of his work and the words of appreciation uttered in the context of his passing into eternity. Through all his work, the hierarch of Sibiu is an example for the generations that have followed.
