The Church of Christ was founded on the truth of the Resurrection. Christians become members of the Church through the Holy Baptism, receiving power from above and freeing themselves from the horror of death. The death of the Lord, through passion, crucifixion and great suffering, has been for mankind a great victory over the enemy devil.
