Ioan Lupaş – Dean of Sălişte (1909-1919)
The study presents a little-known chapter of the life of the famous historian, priest and politician Dr. Ioan Lupaș, the archpriest of Sălişte church district. His attitude towards people, clergy and school, working methods, the relationship between church and culture are the main focuses of this text. The starting point is Professor Lupaş’s journey to the protopresbyter dignity and how the district of Sălişte became the model deanery.
