Ioan Lupaş – lectio historia daco-romanae in Alma Mater Napocensis
In commemorating the 50th anniversary of the passing into eternity of the priest academician Ioan Lupaș, we tried to make a synthesis of his historiographical discourse, noting the programmatic elements meant to contribute to the completion of the national history discourse from the perspective of the History of the Romanians in Transylvania. We presented three inaugural speeches that we consider to be defining for the understanding of his historiographical project: Historical Factors; The genesis of the people and the state, the Meaning and purpose of history, to which we added the Speech dedicated to Metropolitan Șaguna – Șaguna’s Soul – to reiterate that history is the resurrection of the whole life, that the history of the Gentiles is part of the history of salvation.
