The Security Services Files as a Historical Source. Methodological preliminaries
The article aims to analyze how we can use the files of the Security Services in the process of knowing the history of the Church in the communist period, particularly of the diocese of Cluj. Starting from the premise that the Security archives transmit the ideological vision in which the communist regime interpreted the reality, the analysis envisages, in the first part, the ideological foundation that characterized the repressive actions of the Securitate, and in the second part it radiographs the funds from the CNSAS archive available to the research.
