Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania in communist prisons - suffering and dignity
The study is intended to be a review, but also a reminder of the suffering Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania, then known as Valeriu Anania, had to endure in the communist prisons of Malmaison, Jilava, Târgu-Jiu, Uranus, Ploieşti, Piteşti and Aiud. The fear, the terror and the sufferings he has suffered are evoked in this study through passages taken from his personal memories, the reader being able to know the errors of an oppressive system - the communist regime - that contributed to the torture, suppression and extermination of important political and religious personalities.
