Homiletic testimony of the Romanian priests in Transylvania, XVI century
The article refers to the letter sent by priest Adalbert Wurmloch of Bistrița in 1546 to Johannes Hessus of Breslau (Wroclaw), which is important for Romanian historiography. From that letter, the article mentions the fragment concerning the reading of the Apostle and the Gospel in the Slavonic language, followed, according to Pastor A. Wurmloch’s statement, by the Romanian interpretation of the Slavonic text. The work of interpreting in Romanian the biblical texts of the divine service marks a courageous homiletic activity for those times.
