VALENTIN CIOVEIE, The situation of the Areopagite Corpus in Romanian and its international
study
The present article is a chronic of the volume of Bishop Alexander Golitzin Dionysius the Areopagite,
the mystagogue. A monastic reading Deisis, Sibiu, 2015. What characterizes the results of the
long work of His Holiness Alexander Golitzin is the combination between the Athonite monastic living
and putting at work the Western academic research tools at the highest level. The main purpose
of this article is to present the newly translated work by outlining the proposed interpretation of the
Dionysian Corpus and locating this interpretation in the broader area of alternative interpretations
within the international research on the anonymous author of the Corpus. Under this last point,
I will bring into discussion the studies (less extensive) which appeared in the Romanian cultural
space.
