Some aspects of Metropolitan Tit Simedrea’s life. 2016 - 130 years since his birth

Camelia Suruianu, Some aspects of Metropolitan Tit Simedrea’s life. 2016 - 130 years since his birth
Endowed with a solid culture, gained both in the country and abroad, graduated in Law and Theology, Metropolitan Tit Simedrea is part of the family of great hierarchs, that the Church had as spiritual mentors. Being gifted with a working power rarely seen, “retired from his writing desk only at the time of his death and, moreover, animated by a genuine and unstoppable longing to contribute to the enrichment of our Church culture and literature”1, Tit Simedrea had a decisive role in forming the neo-Byzantine revival movement of the Burning Bush. In addition, this high official of the Church, posthumously awarded the distinction Righteous Among the Nations, is the living testimony of a man who in times of distress chose above all to be a Christian.
