Remembering the greatest theoretician of Romanian theater: Ion Marin Sadoveanu
Like Tudor Vianu, who managed, after a laborious work, to complete his Aesthetics, Ion Marin Sadoveanu wanted to remain in Romanian literature as the author of the universal history of theater. The hardships of life, a lack of systematization and an intellectual disturbance made him postpone the prodigious project which, unfortunately, remained forever unfinished; even though during the Experimental Conferences and in his dramatic chronicles, Ion Marin Sadoveanu presented numerous parts in manuscript from his monumental work. Despite this, in the history of Romanian culture, he remains, as Perpessicius called him, "an absolute man of theater."
