Ana Blandiana, in an article entitled "From Edicule to Sighet, about faith and memory of models", originally a conference held this May at the suggestion of Archbishop Andrei Andreicut, in the Theatre of the Faculty of Theology in Cluj-Napoca, reveals "a continuity as in a mirror" between the figure of St. Constantin Brancoveanu (canonized in 1992), the model of the prince martyred together with his sons and the model represented by the victims of communism in Sighet, Gherla and Aiud. Ana Blandiana focuses on the memory that communism tried to destroy by creating the new man, as a form of confessing the truth.
