Metropolitan Bishop Efrem

The text is picturing the spiritual portrait of the Metropolitan Bishop of Basarabia, His Eminence Efrem Enăcescu, through an incursion into the church history of the first half of the 20th century. The author keeps alive the memory of the gentle, wise and noble monk who became bishop, about which they were about to say that he was the last representative of romanian traditional monasticism and which was behaving as a monk in everything he was doing or thinking, a living icon.
