The article explores the question of the boundaries of the Church, from the orthodox perspective. The different practices in the reception of converts into the Orthodox Church have determined theologians like Georges Florovsky and Dumitru Staniloae to start a deeper theological reflection about it. On the basis of these two theological approaches, the author tries to make some systematic differentiations, which could help to find the balance between the ecclesiological self-understanding of the Orthodox Church and the recognition of baptism of other Christian Churches.
