Eminent theologians of the great Christian confessions have approaches in the past decades with interest and admiration father Dumitru Stăniloae`s work. High scientific forums and prestigious universities called him to teach. Famous theologians praised his wisdom and his renewing meditations. No other Romanian scholar has ever been more read, commented, and appreciated in the spiritual life of the Christian world. Father Dumitru Stăniloae is not only considered the greatest Romanian theologian of the XX<sup>th</sup> century, but also one of the most important Christian theologians of our time. His work is not only an important contribution, providential for the Romanian theology, but also an important chapter of our culture, to which he brings excellence and identity. In order to fully understand the ways and the intensity of the reception of father Stăniloae`s work in the Romanian culture, careful research is needed, conducted by both: theologians and literature, music and art critics and historians, as well as reading the cultural publications and the personal archives of the people who wrote during the totalitarian dictatorship.
