Albrecht Dürer - an expressionist avant la lettre
Our little essay brings to the present an aspect of the fickle artistic activity of the German Renaissance Maestro. Through Dürer’s Revelation, German spirituality, whose brilliant representative had a renaissance erudition, imposed itself on universal fine arts. This time through the twisted lines of the wood engraving technique, the painter and engraver performs a symbiosis of inner experiences of the Gothic man, the Germanic one and the anguish of the Semitic-Oriental biblical logos.
