Old Paintings (IV) Since 1948, Romania had a gray, dull media, with ugly graphics, marked by
declamatory style, inept slogans and rude, “proletarian” aggression. Slowly,
the media - written, radio and television – becomes more diverse and attenuates
the restrictive atmosphere of the communist era. Meanwhile, the pubs and the
restaurants in Bucharest also had the chance to soften the rigors of the
proletarian life, giving people the opportunity to relax and socialize. DAN CIACHIR |
