CAMELIA SURUIANU, Applicability of economic semiology in the Romanian environment In the last chapter of the study The issues of economic prediction, Paul Sterian, using a language accessible to the readers, states some issues regarding the applicability of economic semiology in the Romanian environment. At the same time, he presents, one by one, the decisional factors which had led Romania into the maelstrom of economic crisis. We also notice the efforts of Paul Sterian to refer Romanian economy to European standards. Detailed knowledge of the studies by major western economists, as well as knowing the dangers to which our country as an agrarian state was exposed, briefl y all the aspects listed above, reveal both a deep economic vision on Romania, but also a desire to synchronize the country with Western economies.
