Alexandru Mironescu - A Way to Re-Live Orthodoxy in Prison
In 2001, the volume of memoirs The Flower of Fire [Floarea de Foc] by Alexandru Mironescu was published by the Elion Publishing House. Kept in manuscript for thirty seven years by the author`s daughter, settled in Switzerland, the book entices, along with the lectures held at the Antim Monastery in the context of the Burning Altar Movement, the confession of the "man" who lived in the Aiud prison for six years. The purpose of this work is not as much revealing the suffering, as presenting the existential solution adopted in order to survive in the hell.
