If in his volume about biblical genealogy Antimos of Iberia foresaw a subtle and nonconformist form of parenesis, probably one of the most efficient ones, his work which entails Sfaturile creștin-politice [the Christian political advice] dedicated to Ștefan Cantacuzino is a natural continuation from the perspective of both the Byzantine tradition of parenesis and Metropolitan`s personal projects. Apparently minor, the work we discuss entails, among others, new information on the role of the blessing in the confessor-apprentice relationship.
