Through the incarnation of the Son, God’s eternal plan with man and the world is revealed to us. Jesus Christ is revealed to us as a goal and fulfillment of creation. In Him we have not only fulfilled salvation as the act of redemption from the bondage of sin, of the devil and death, and the restoration of the primordial state, but the ripening of humanity through deification in His Person and work. In Jesus Christ, man reached his eschatological realization. Thus, the mission of the Church will ultimately aim to recapitulate all in Christ so that all creatures participate in the life of God and advance in ripening and deification until “God is all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28).
