With the confessors from the communist prisons in our heart and thoughts
During the commemorative year 2017, dedicated to the memory of Patriarch Justinian and to the defenders and confessors of faith during the communist regime, several events dedicated to these themes took place at the Faculty of the Orthodox Theology in Cluj-Napoca. Some of them were organized in December, including the commemoration of two personalities both connected to the diocese of Vad, Feleac and Cluj, and to the former Academy, respectively the Theological Institute in Cluj: professor and rector Liviu Galaction Munteanu, who died in Aiud prison in 1961 and reverend professor Ioan Bunea, who managed to survive the detention in communist prisons. A special note was given by the participation of the daughters of the two confessors, Dr. Lia Drăgănescu, daughter of Liviu Galaction, who also gave an emotional speech about his father, and Mrs. Dorina Bia, daughter of the priest Ioan Bunea.
