The Work and the Role of the Word of God in Creation
Christian faith testifies according to Revelation that the world is created by God from nothing in time. God created the world through His Word and Spirit, Which, according to Saint Irinaeus of Lyon, are the two hands of the Father. Through creation, the Logos has imprinted the world with countless reasons giving the world a meaning. The world created by God is a rational world. Through the reason of things, the world is intimately connected with the Logos, Who, in the Person of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word, leads the world to its ultimate goal and fulfillment, to its union with God, when God will be all in all (I Corinthians 15, 28).
