Interwar Scenes (I)
The article highlights some aspects of interwar public life, particularly related to the press of that period. The author refers to the first modern newspaper in Romania, “Universul (The Universe)”, founded in 1884 but with a rich activity especially during the interwar period, to the newspaper “Cuvântul (The Word)”, whose director and owner was the philosopher Nae Ionescu, and where intellectuals of the time published their works, as well as the relationship between Nae Ionescu and King Carol II.
