The Master II The article evokes memories of the actor and master Octavian Cotescu. He was a great teacher
who, as a professor, molded many generations of actors. His pedagogy was sometimes and somehow
outwardly oriented, being obsessed with the position, place and role that the actor had to win
in society. At the exams, he sat in the front row, and even if he saw a scene for the hundredth
time, he used to burst into laughter or weep with unconcealed tears, as if he saw it all the
first time. As an actor, the audience awaited him, loved him, recognized him, applauded him from
the first appearance, but the Master did not make any concessions to this proof of unconditional
love. RĂZVAN IONESCU |
