The three volumes entitled Culture and Spirituality, which contain articles published by father Stăniloae in Telegraful Român between 1930 and 1945, testify for a responsible publishing activity. Theology is justified in the area of intellectual publications by its aspiration to what truly enlightens our existence. Moreover, by this implication, the theologian is placed in an advantageous position, having always the perspective of a theology with concrete application and, essentially, offering healing solutions where any other humanist perspective is forced to give up. Father Stăniloae dedicated his life to journalism with enthusiasm, as much as that time and those people allowed him to. But, as much as it was, was done with God`s blessing. And reading those pages, just as modern now as they used to be back then, we can but find in journalism a sincerity and a meaning that are obstinately helpful to us.
